Peter Vickrey is a designer, craftsman and sculptor working in New York and Los Angeles.

 

He undertakes projects of all scales, from pieces of furniture to full home renovations. To each he brings taste, attention to detail, and sensitivity to the particular needs of the client.  After ten years of designing and overseeing high-end residential renovations, he has focused more recently on smaller-scale design and custom fabrication in his studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

 

His sculptural works, mostly executed in stone and concrete, are of several kinds. Some marry mass-produced utilitarian objects -- a cable, a light switch -- to the timelessness of alabaster and marble. Witty and unsettling, these assemblages hover between the temporary and the eternal, the found and the made, trash and value.
